Wine Storage Coolers
Bottles of wine can be kept at thier ideal serving temperature until the wine can be served, using wine storage coolers. The right way to store wine is in a climate controlled condition such as a wine cellar or a wine storage cooler.
The morning of a big dinner party, or a few hours ahead of time, the host pulls bottles of wine from the cellar to be served that night. The wine storage cooler is set to the precise serving temperature at which the wine is to be served. The wine will be at the perfect temperature later that night when its dinner time.
Unlike wine that is stored in a standard kitchen refrigerator, the wine in a wine storage cooler will not undergo inconsistent temperature fluctuations every time a family member opens the refrigerator door to grab a snack or a beer.
Recommended Temperatures
Fifty nine to sixty six degrees Fahrenheit is the recommended serving temperature for a red wine. For a light red wine, the recommended wine storage cooler temperature for cooling is 55 degrees Fahrenheit, or 13 Celsius.
White wine or dessert wines are normally stored at a temperature of forty six to fifty seven degrees Farhrnheit.
Sparkling wine and champagne have the best taste when served at a temperture between forty three to forty seven degrees Fahrenheit.
With a wine storage cooler, you can taste wines at their ideal temperature. You might be pleasantly suprised when you drink wine that has been stored at the proper temperature because flavors are more prominate when the wine is served at the right temperature.
Sizes Of Coolers
Wine storage coolers are availble in many different styles and sizes. Sizes are measured by the number of standard wine bottles the cooler will hold. The smallest coolers hold about six bottles. The standard size wine storage cooler will store around 20 bottles of wine.
Most wine storage coolers can be retro-fitted into a kitchen or bonus room. An existing cabinet unit can be used for a built in cooler, if you can move the drawer stack or shelving out to make way for the cooler. If you opt for a smaller cooler it will be easier and more accessable for serving your meal because they will fit on top of a counter. After use the cooler can be moved to a less noticable part of the house.
